Destacó el compromiso de los periodistas de “escribir las noticias de forma inigualable, buscando los métodos de hacer llegar la verdad hacia quienes necesitan escucharlas”.
Resaltó Montás, quien es licenciado en Comunicación Social, el talento de los periodistas “para comunicar con facilidad y de manera imparcial, le hace un ser único e importante para la comunidad”.
“Ustedes como transmisores hacen posible, que la opinión y verdad de otros sea escuchada”, agrega Montás, en el comunicado.
El ejecutivo municipal expresa en su nota a los periodistas de San Cristóbal que “admiro tu valentía, esfuerzo y dedicación que pones a tu profesión”.
Valoró de los periodistas el que “siempre tan curiosos, buscan respuestas donde surgen preguntas y contribuyen a soluciones donde hay problemas”.
Calificó el ejecutivo municipal a los periodistas como “la voz del que clama justicia o solución a algún problema”.
“Con tu labor noble y desinteresada haces noticia capaz de ser escuchada por muchos en pro de la comunidad”, manifestó finalmente José Montás, alcalde de San Cristóbal.
Apostilló que el Día Nacional del Periodista que es celebrado el cinco de abril de cada año surge en el año 1821, fecha en la que se publicó el primer periódico dominicano, “El Telégrafo Constitucional”.
